Workpays was delighted to welcome Toby Perkins, Member of Parliament for Chesterfield, to our Chesterfield centre, where he saw firsthand how our initiatives, such as the Multiply Programme, are making a real difference in the community.

Mr. Perkins was keen to learn more about the efforts being made to empower individuals in Chesterfield and beyond. His visit emphasises the importance of local partnerships and solutions in addressing unemployment and skill gaps.

During his visit, Mr. Perkins spoke with our staff to gain a better understanding of the services we provide. From upskilling courses to employment support, our Chesterfield Centre provides a range of programmes designed to help individuals overcome barriers and achieve their career goals.

He praised the collaborative approach of Workpays and our commitment to delivering impactful results. Mr. Perkins said:

“A really good visit here at Workpays and look forward to seeing how these programmes continue to thrive”

Mr. Perkins was especially interested in hearing about the success stories of those who have benefited from our support. He had the opportunity to meet participants from the digital exclusion course, who shared how digital barriers had previously restricted their access to employment opportunities. They explained how the course, supported by dedicated tutors, is equipping them with essential digital skills to overcome these challenges.

Mr. Perkins emphasised the importance of providing individuals with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in a competitive job market.

Our team thoroughly enjoyed hosting Mr. Perkins and appreciated the opportunity to share the impact of our work. His visit reaffirmed the importance of the services we provide and our goal to empower individuals to build brighter futures.
