photographyIs an apprenticeship for me?

An apprenticeship combines real-world work with professional training to set you off on the right career path.

getingofarAs an apprentice, you'll typically work at an organisation in a field of business that interests you.    In most cases, that won’t be too far from home.  The best part for many people is that while you’re working and leering you'll be getting paid!

Because you’ll be getting workplace training, you might also find it easier to work towards a recognised qualification too. The balance of on-the-job learning and outside training depends on the kind of work you're doing.

As an apprentice you’ll:

  • work alongside experienced staff
  • gain job-specific skills
  • earn a wage and get holiday pay
  • study towards a related qualification (usually one day a week)

How long is the programme?

There's no set time for completing an apprenticeship but the minimum time is one year. Getting started is easy and you’ll receive all the help and support you need from the Workpays team.
